 Julia Beems, MA, is the RERC-ACT Program Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator for Assistive Technology Partners and a senior faculty instructor with the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has a graduate degree in rehabilitative counseling with an emphasis in vocational evaluation. Ms. Beems’ areas of expertise include low-tech, low-cost assistive technology solutions, modifications for rural and agricultural communities, and funding resources. She serves on the Colorado Advisory Council for Persons with Disabilities, and the Statewide Independent Living Council. She has been recognized by the American Horticultural Therapy Association for Humanitarian Service and by AARP as an Outstanding Community Partner.
