Aleaza Goldberg, MA, CCC-SLP, is an assistive technology specialist and an instructor, who came to Assistive Technology Partners in September, 2008. She provides assessment and intervention services for Augmentative/Alternative Communication and Computer Access in our clinic. She coordinates our staff and community educational efforts to maintain a cutting edge knowledge base on new technologies. Ms. Goldberg works on several research studies for the Research Engineering Rehabilitation Center for the Advancement of Cognitive Technologies (RERC-ACT) and for the Accessible Educational Materials for Students with Print Disabilities (AEM) Grant Program. She received her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 1991 from the University of Colorado Boulder and she comes to ATP with extensive experience in direct service provision for adults with traumatic brain injury, CVA and progressive neurological diseases in a variety of settings which include acute care, acute rehabilitation, sub-acute care and home healthcare. Ms. Goldberg received her certification in Neuromuscular Electric Stimulation and she specializes in treatment of severe dysphagia (swallow dysfunction). Her future endeavors include specialization in switch use and mouseless browsing on the web to enable increased computer access.
