The Assistive Technology Coalition was formed in July 2001 by several state agencies with federal mandates to provide assistive technology devices and services to Colorado residents. The mission of the Assistive Technology Coalition is to increase awareness and accessibility to assistive technology to a scale where all Colorado residents are assured their rights to personal development, learning, independent living, and work opportunities of their choice.

Future Goals:

  • Invite additional agencies with goals that align with existing members to join the Assistive Technology Coalition
  • Develop additional satellite centers in other regions of Colorado
  • Expand the statewide loan bank to meet the growing need for access to technology
  • Identify new funding sources for assistive technology research and training
